The MiSMART three-tier middleware software is a perfect tool for utility companies, energy suppliers and other parties on both ends of a supply-demand chain. It can be used for distributed smart grid data monitoring solutions as well as a site energy monitoring solution.
How it works?
The MiSMART data collector with a “push” communication system allows automatic records of all predefined measuring parameters. They are stored in the MiSMART database, while leaving a copy of the same parameters stored locally in memory of each device as a backup copy. Database records in XML format can be searched and viewed in tabelaric and graphical forms using a MiSMART client or other third-party application software. Database records can involve numerous parameters of a three-phase system, power quality parameters, physical parameters (temperature, pressure, wind speed etc.) as well as alarms and detailed time-stamped event logs.
Use
Site Energy Monitoring Solution
• constant electric energy monitoring at different sites within the company
• constant gas/water consumption monitoring at different sites within the company
• control over power consumption and losses within the company
• more reliable operation as well as equipment maintenance
• better equipment investment planning based on historical consumption and power quality data
• electrical power quality data monitoring
• better control over all installed equipment
Distributed Smart Grid Data Monitoring Solution
• system protection improvements
• more reliable operation
• faster responses to failures
• better maintenance
• control over power consumption and losses within the network
• historic data for better planning
• power quality improvement
• better control over the installed equipment
Functionalities:
• 3-tier web based system infrastructure for complete system data & operation monitoring
• centralized database where all configured instrument data is available
• can be installed on a company local server or in the cloud
• complete system monitoring statistical evaluation for historic measurements, alarms and PQ data within the Data Monitor module
• system settings are done through the Configuration Tool module
• multiple data export capabilities for further data processing in other systems (PQDIF, Excel)
